Experience Days
Kirklees Guitar School Experience Days are designed for guitarists who want to accelerate their progress beyond what a regular weekly lesson can offer.
Perfect for players who live too far away to attend regularly, or those wanting a full day immersed in music, these events run from 10:00am to 4:00pm at our Denby Dale studio.
Each Experience Day includes a tour of the school and a series of focused, practical workshops covering key areas of guitar playing.
You'll leave with clear direction, practical exercises, and enough material to work on for weeks afterwards, as well as the opportunity to play alongside other guitarists in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Summer Experience Day
Join us for a full day of focused musical development at the Kirklees Guitar School Summer Experience Day.
Designed for developing guitarists, the event combines practical ensemble playing, songwriting, and blues-based guitar workshops in an engaging small-group format.

Blues & Rock Improvisation Workshops
Learn how to confidently improvise, solo, and jam in a relaxed, supportive environment.
James' Blues & Rock Improvisation Workshops are designed to help guitarists build confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of soloing.
Our Level 1 workshops are perfect for beginners or players who don't yet feel confident improvising, covering the essential building blocks needed to start creating solos with confidence.
For more experienced players, our Level 2 workshops explore specific improvisational concepts in greater depth, including chord tone targeting, playing over chord changes, exotic scales, arpeggios, and advanced soloing techniques.
Whether you're taking your first steps into improvisation or looking to expand your musical vocabulary, these workshops provide practical, hands-on learning in a supportive environment.
