As I'm new to the Academy I am spending some time rooting about on the various web pages to see what is about and where to find things. And I must say that it all looks pretty good. I'll definetly learn plenty here.
I visited my first series of courses, the "Lead Course" and the content was very good. I've never had "Tapping" explained to me before and it is done so well here. There are several good items to incorporate into Practice Elements too. 😀👍
I have gone through the 10 lesson theory course over the last week and things now click better with me, I have always struggeledwith timing im way too fast. I have taken loads from the 10 lessons, but the thing that has stood out to me is something that isnt actually taught in them, I have now found my foot taps to the timing, its something I have always struggeled to do and for some reason the lessons have made that happen naturally.
Hi, I’m not a fan of finger picking but I’d like to push myself to get better at it. There’s a Biffy Clyro song I love (Cop Syrup) which has a long bridge of finger picking and I just can’t work out the shapes Simon is playing to make it so seamless and I’d love to learn some of it. Any tips on finger picking welcome 🙏🏼
Hi Ingrid, I find that the vast majority of picking is getting the mechanics of it. I did a fingerpicking course on Youtube about a year ago. Earlier this week Che actually suggested that i dig that out and put it here on the academy. Im actually intending on re filming it all for the website with the new set up and adding some extras into it. Stay tuned.
