The Academy and James's prolific output is leading me astray with so much to tempt me from what I should be focused on! Today I meant to do some work on one of my original songs. So I did some warm-ups on the major pentatonic scale using 'My Girl'. So far, very disciplined and following my tutors advice. However, that tempted me to move up to the 5th fret and the A scale and playing one of the Soul Choir songs ' Stand By Me'. That made me think about our choir leader, Dan Price, and the exquisite twangy sounds that he gets from his Telecaster. So next minute I'm on Gear4Music planning my next purchase! Does it matter?
